Our mission is to develop and promote the utilization of nuclear techniques and biotechnology for economic development through:

• Advising Government on policy issues relating to peaceful use of nuclear energy in Ghana;
• Applied research and development;
• Commercial application of research in the areas of health, agriculture, industry and commerce;
• Fulfilling the state's obligation on nuclear safety, security and environmental care;
• Contributing to building a sustainable future for Ghana by facilitating the introduction of nuclear power into Ghana's energy mix;
• Development of the human resource base in nuclear science, biotechnology and related fields;
• Satisfying stakeholder's expectations;
• Building strategic partnership and alliances with national, regional and international bodies to enhance utilization of nuclear and related technologies for sustainable development.
